I think part of the reason my Blog has fallen by the wayside is facebook. Often I'll find myself posting pictures and short updates on there, when they probably constitute a Blog (especially given my Blog imports to facebook anyway).
Excluding my previous post earlier today, my last two were made from the Midlands and Somerset respectively. Why is this of interest? Because the two posts straddle my parents (and by extension, me) moving house. That's right, in case you didn't know I am now back only a short distance from the house where I lived until around twelve (A being where I am, and B the road I grew up on).
It's certainly a fun exercise to consider the boy I was back then¹ and the man I am now². To celebrate the occasion I posted a couple of photos on fb, but I'll put them up here for completeness:

So there you go. It's certainly a very exciting and transitional period of my life, and to keep you all date with versions: As mentioned I consider 7.0 a non-starter, 7.1 the period during which I had my (unfortunately ill blogged) jaunt around America, and 7.2 the time since I returned and have been hauled up at my parents. I won't labour too much on 7.1, I was supposed to post a picture Blog, at the request of Matt (sorry Matt!), I do have a bunch of photos I want to up so it is coming!
Focussing on 7.2 I have to say things are going rather well. Living with my parents isn't so bad, and thankfully the new house is a little more conducive to my current sleeping pattern³ as it doesn't feature quite so many creaky floor boards!
My parents have also graced me with my own little 'office' to work in, which is just what I need as I have now entered the world of working on oDesk. I must confess that despite the potential problems I am relishing the opportunity to work on my own schedule³ with a language I adore.
Aside from location and profession, I couldn't get away without mentioning love-and-such, and: Everything is wonderful. I had the pleasure (and extreme luck!) of meeting Jenna, who is quite the catch. It's been a little tough on account of the dis-union which results when you fall for someone who lives on the other side of an ocean. But, in a matter of days (and I can hardly believe it) we shall go:

| From this... | ... to this. |
And after that? Who knows!
But once again I shall certainly try and document it here, because I suspect I'm going to want to look back on this period for a long time to come :)
Oh and, happy summer two-thousand-and-eleven everyone, I hope you are all enjoying yourselves as much as I am!
¹ A shy, awkward boy who rarely understood what was going on.
² An extremely happy man, with many wonderful friends and plenty to look forward to.
³ I will be writing a follow-up post about my sleeping shortly, for the moment it is suffice to say that since 'desynchronising' with the 24-hour cycle I feel great!
